Busy day today. Started at the Zoo (not caged, they say it’s a semi-natural habitat), saw some Red Pandas, Snow Leopards, Spotted Dear, Bears, beautiful birds and lots more. I strolled about for two hours. Besah ..a taxi driver picked me up on the way out of the Zoo. He took me to a Monastery, Tashi View Point and a waterfall. He spent about one 1 ½ driving me around pointing out amazing views and telling me all about the history of Sikkim. When I went to pay him he refused to take any money…how wonderful is that. I think he wanted to practice his English and show me how kind Sikkim people are. I then headed to the Craft Museum and fair which was very interesting..
